UX Research & Design Studio

We help your business create or revive products and services that are truly relevant to your customers

The goal of any product design is to reduce everything until you reach the point that satisfaction is not sacrificed. User research helps us identify what is satisfying and what is not.

Our Process

Without knowing what your market truly needs and wants, you will end up spending immense amounts of resources and time figuring it out. Product redesigns, new services, website refreshes, and a lot of guessing. But there’s a better, less costly way of becoming a market leader and leaving your competitors far behind. Here’s our process:

There are many different UX research methods we consider. Some of them include:

  • Primary and secondary research
  • Quantitative and qualitative research
  • Generative and evaluative research
  • Market research
  • Ethnography

Each project is different so we choose the best set of methods based on desired outcomes.

UX research tools are chosen specific to the methodologies selected. The following tools are considered:

  • Literature reviews
  • Competitive analysis
  • Photo ethnography
  • Observations
  • Questionnaires
  • Surveys
  • Interviews

A set of tools are chosen based on experience and outcomes. Surveys, for example, aren’t always appropriate whereas interviews may be a better fit.

After the specific methods and tools have been selected, we create a detailed research plan. This involves using information literacy models, logic models, and a scope that will keep the research aligned with the overall goals. This plan is shared amongst the team and with the client before moving forward.

Once the UX research is underway, we begin storing the results for analysis. Synthesizing the user results is a process that involves information frameworks, personas, empathy maps, user stories, and documentation. Why is this necessary? Because simply looking at what the users said and did won’t get you to the true underlying truth that we are looking for. And that truth is what informs designs which cause products and services to take off in ways never imagined.

The final stage of our UX research process is presenting our findings. This includes visualizations, ROI mapping, suggestions, and our conclusions based on an in-depth analysis of our data.

One of the best freelancer experiences I ever had. Communication was phenomenal. He didn't just implement what I asked for, he used his expertise to provide great advice and make my plans even better. Can't recommend enough.
